From April 13 to 29, 2026, the Global Educator & Trainer Challenge, organized by Inchainge and centered around the business simulation The Fresh Connection, brought together educators and professional trainers from around the world.
This year’s Spring Edition featured 26 teams and more than 109 participants from over 16 companies and 48 universities worldwide. PMI Production Management Institute GmbH once again participated with multiple teams—and achieved outstanding results: PMI teams secured 2nd and 3rd place overall.
What makes this challenge particularly valuable for PMI is the change in perspective. Our trainers step out of their usual facilitator role and experience the simulation as participants. They make decisions under pressure, navigate trade-offs, and engage deeply with topics such as Sales & Operations Planning and constraint management—just like the professionals they train.
Working across countries, time zones, and busy schedules, teams collaborate in short, focused sessions, often during lunch breaks or late in the evening. This creates a highly realistic learning environment that reflects real-world supply chain challenges.
Beyond the global competition, the internal dynamic also plays a key role: multiple PMI teams compete against each other, fostering ambition, exchange, and continuous improvement.
For PMI, the Global Educator & Trainer Challenge is more than a recurring event; it is an integral part of our trainer development philosophy. We strongly believe that those who teach must continuously learn themselves.
We are proud of all participating teams and already look forward to the next edition.
Upcoming Event: PMI’s Young Professionals Challenge will take place on June 26 in Munich, offering company teams the opportunity to compete and experience S&OP in a simulation environment. Registrations are still possible.
