On November 6, 2025, the annual Network Meeting took place at the Logistics Competence Center (LKZ) Prien. Numerous representatives from business, research, and politics came together to exchange insights on current developments and future topics in logistics. As a long-standing partner of the LKZ, the PMI Production Management Institute was delighted to take part.
Following the welcome address by Dr. Petra Seebauer, Managing Director of LKZ Prien GmbH, short impulses from the network set the stage for the day. Robert Praschl (Logistics Initiative Regensburg e.V.) emphasized the value of cooperation over competition, while Carsten Leutloff (LGT Institute GmbH) discussed responsibility and quality assurance in global supply chains.
A particularly inspiring highlight was the presentation by Matthias Groher, titled “The Future Needs Explorers: How Learning, Attitude, and Culture Enable Change.”
Using the example of the Voyager 1 and 2 space missions, he drew a fascinating parallel to the challenges of modern supply chains. Just like in space exploration, complex systems, communication, trust, and the ability to navigate uncertainty are key. Groher encouraged participants to embrace imperfection, learn from mistakes, and act boldly even when outcomes are uncertain.
During the subsequent get-together, participants had the chance to build new connections, strengthen partnerships, and share perspectives in an open and friendly atmosphere.
