For more resilient supply chains

BVL and PMI are expanding further training opportunities.

The cooperation between PMI Production Management Institute GmbH and Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) e.V. for the qualification of supply chain managers, which was successfully launched at transport logistic 2019, is being expanded.

Ensuring functioning supply chains is currently a major challenge for companies. Therefore, trained and APICS-certified "Certified Supply Chain Professionals (CSCP)" are in international demand. Over a period of 5 years, the more than 125,000 certified persons must achieve at least 75 continuing education points (maintenance points) in order to prove that their qualifications are up-to-date and to continue to be APICS-certified. With the expanded range of further training opportunities, supply chain managers can now acquire these maintenance points at BVL. In an intensive exchange, Stefan Hoogervorst, Director of Education and Research at PMI Production Management Institute GmbH, and Kirsten Steinfurth, seminar manager at Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) e.V., identified more than 20 seminars for qualification and accredited them for the maintenance points of APICS to let.

With BVL as the selected training provider, seminars on supply chain, lean logistics, transport, project management and controlling, among other things, can be booked from September 1, 2022 and proof of further training can be submitted to PMI Production Management Institute GmbH. The certificate obtained from the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) - the world's largest non-profit association for supply chain management - remains valid after 5 years.

In the following overview you will find a list of creditable BVL seminars.

Bundesvereinigung Logistik e.V.
The Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL), founded in 1978, is an open network of people who actively advocate efficient cooperation in the globalized economy. Its core goal is to convey the importance of supply chain management and logistics - as well as to promote their application and development. Around 10,000 specialists and managers from industry, trade, services and science are represented in the BVL worldwide. An important concern of the BVL is lifelong learning. BVL Seminare is a leading specialist provider of further training in the areas of logistics, customs and foreign trade. They offer seminars and certificate courses to experienced specialists and executives throughout Germany. Renowned experts as speakers always ensure topicality, practical relevance and quality.

Production Management Institute (PMI)
The Production Management Institute has been supporting its customers for more than 30 years with professional, internationally recognized training and certification programs on topics in supply chain, operations, procurement and logistics. A reliable network of global training partners such as APICS, the Demand Driven Institute or Factory Physics, experienced trainers from industry and business as well as our own quality standards form the basis for further training, which focuses on application-oriented learning. In public courses or embedded in our own Supply Chain Academy, the participants are qualified through competent advice, professional training and interactive learning materials in a participatory and tailor-made way according to their needs - for faster learning success with more transparency. Customers also receive support in improving and transforming their supply chain with the help of our "Transformation Learning Programs (TLP)". In the TLP, a supply chain executive coach analyzes the current supply chain(s) and their processes with the help of the "ASCM Supply Chain Operations Reference" (SCOR) model, SCORmark benchmarks, SCOR-P certification and a set of proven analytical templates and current vs desired performance. A project portfolio is developed together with the customer, which achieves a double return on education in the first 12 months and demonstrably improves one's own competitiveness.
