The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge

Participate in The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge and compete against teams from all over the globe for the highest Return on Investment for the fruit producing company The Fresh Connection. Benchmark your competences to create cross-functional collaboration and alignment within your team with teams from more than 60 different countries worldwide. Experience whether you can outperform other teams in implementing your Supply Chain Strategy by making coherent and aligned strategic and tactical decisions. See whether you are better able than other teams to handle internal and external challenges and events. And learn by doing whether you and your team members have the collaboration and communication skills needed to win The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge.

The goal of the Challenge is to realize the highest Return on Investment. During three rounds, the participating teams have to deal with an increasing amount of complexity in a dynamic environment to maximize the Return on Investment for The Fresh Connection, a fruit producing company suffering under poor Supply Chain performance and negative financial results.

Participating teams will play in pools. The winning team of a pool qualifies to participate in the Global Final of The Fresh Connection, where the teams will be physically present to play a number of additional rounds of The Fresh Connection during which again new elements and challenges will be introduced. The team which wins the Global Final of The Fresh Connection wins an Executive course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The Fresh Connection will challenge both the participants’ knowledge and decisions making skills as well as the interpersonal skills required to build a successful team.

The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge is a training and competition format for any individual with an interest in Value Chain Management, for individuals working directly in Supply chain functions and for any individuals working in supply chain related functions. Participants can be from various levels within the organization, from Executive Management all across to the Operational Level. Registrations must take place for full teams (3-5 persons).

To qualify for participation in The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge, a team must have realized a positive Return on Investment in any of the rounds of The Fresh Connection played either in an open training, an inhouse training, an inhouse competition or the PMI Young Professionals Day.

There is no certification attached to participating in The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge, but all participants to the The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge can receive a certificate of participation on request.

The winning teams of each pool qualify for the Global Final of The Fresh Connection. All participants to the Global Final will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

The winning team of the Global Final will receive a certificate of best Global Supply Chain team for the respective year the team won the Global Final of The Fresh Connection.

The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge is a remote Global Training format during which three rounds will be played. The timeframe for each round is two weeks. After each round the results of the decisions taken will be available and new decisions and challenges will be introduced.

The Fresh Connection provides a perfect arena for a Global Value Chain Management competition with participation from over 300 teams from more than 60 different countries.

during the Global Challenge, the teams can choose their language. In The Fresh Connection, over 12 different languages are available.

Not applicable as The Fresh Connection Global Professional Challenge is played remotely and non-supervised due to the competitive character of the Global Challenge.
