Demand Driven Planner (DDP)

The Demand Driven Planner Program was created by the Demand Driven Institute (DDI). Internationally accredited by the IISB, the purpose of the DDP Program is to educate operations and supply chain personnel on the methods and applications of Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP).

DDMRP is a formal planning and execution method designed to correct the inadequacies and inappropriate rules of conventional Material Requirements Planning (MRP) given today’s more volatile, complex and service oriented supply and manufacturing scenarios.

  • Understand why planning as it's done today just doesn't work and how to fix it without reengineering the entire company.
  • How to deal with an unpredictable market where demand is dynamic and creating a planning and execution environment that manufacturing can successfully follow while lowering your internal costs.
  • Create a lead time advantage over your competitors by understanding the key elements of reducing lead time.
  • Leverage inventory in ways not understood prior which go beyond just simply placing stocks everywhere.
  • Learn about how those firms that are a pioneer in DDMRP are just simply better than their competitors in supply chain performance.

Target Group

This program is ideal for those professionals and organizations that want to move beyond the "standard" solutions of today and implement what is for sure a leading best practice. This program is an excellent place for professionals such as continuous improvement specialists, consultants, educators, planners, and supply chain managers who want to learn how rethink everything they thought was best practice and understand how to actually achieve it in this pioneering new program.

The course is constructed in a 2 day workshop format. Language: English.

An official exam must be taken for the Demand Driven Planner Professional (DDPP). The participants are certified after successfully completing the exam and are entitled to use the acronym "DDPP". In addition participants will receive a certificate. The webbased DDP exam consists of a three hour proctored exam comprised of 125 questions.
